We had a fantastic experience with SDP. James and his team knocked through our lounge and kitchen last year, this involved obtaining structural engineer's calculations, knocking through the brickwork, putting in steel support then arranging building regulation sign off. This was finished by 'making good' including plumbing a new radiator, re tiling the floor and re plastering. The work was carried out to the highest standard and from start to finish the process was smooth. What really impressed me was how specific James and his team were with the timeline of events and when they would occur so we could adequately plan ahead and his team are really friendly. We are already planning on using SDP again when we extend our kitchen later this year. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

"After hearing good things, I contracted James and his team to do some considerable refurbishment work on one of my student terrace houses. The property needed a full loft conversion, a refurb of the main bathroom, bedroom, and dining room, and a totally new kitchen. Not only that – but with it being a student property we only had the small window of the summer holidays to get everything looking tip top again in time for the new academic year. It was a tall order but the job was completed to highest standard and with complete efficiency from the whole team at SDP. I couldn’t be happier with the work. Everything was completed on schedule, and with total transparency from James about where we were at, at every stage. Because of the terms and conditions drawn up in advance, I knew the exact schedule of works. Payment was spread across the duration of the project and there were no hidden costs.  SDP also sourced the kitchen themselves, using my specifications – which was a massive weight off my shoulders. At our initial meeting with James, we were able to explain what it was we were seeking and he was able to advise and make suggestions. This collaborative approach was also taken when we met Steve the kitchen designer. From our first meeting to the completion of the project, continued close communication meant the project ran smoothly and we were aware of what was happening at each stage. James was an excellent project manager, liaising with various trades, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, kitchen fitters, flooring, to ensure the work was done to the agreed timescale and to a high standard and finish. The final result is exactly what we wanted with a few additional ideas from the design team. We had been considering having a kitchen /diner extension for a number of years, hoping to make more efficient use of our home. We first met James two years before our project started, and after consultations with other builders felt that we would like him to do the job. We had James architect Ahmed to draw up the plans for us, he achieved just what we had asked for a room filled with lots of natural light and views onto the garden. The team started on a bank holiday Monday which was a nice surprise to us All of James team from the bricklayers, labourers to electricians were hardworking polite and friendly guys. After spending many weekends looking at kitchens we met Steve Wake the kitchen designer who works with James. He listened to our ideas and eventually came up with a beautiful fitted kitchen for us and managed to design us a corner larder cupboard to optimise our space. We couldn't decide on a colour, luckily Steve gave us right up until the final minute of production to decide. A problem we did have was trying to arrange time to see James as we were both at work and James wasn't available of an evening. However he came to the site each day to see how things were progressing. We now have just what we had dreamed off and everyone who sees it as to how it was before is very impressed. Thank you to James and his team.

"Renovating a property can be a real minefield at the best of times, fortunately James at SDP was available to make the process as smooth as possible which was critical for me as I was living very remotely from the project. He had all the guys to do the right job in a timely manner and with the minimal of fuss. "We recently used SDP to relocate our bathroom and the other rooms on our first floor. From the initial visit to the end of the build they understood what we wanted and worked with us to achieve it. They removed the existing bathroom and completely relocated it, including all fitting and plumbing, a new wall, doorway, skirting boards, and skimming the walls in the process. They protected the carpets throughout the work and tidied at the end of each day.  They had great attention to detail and the tiling in the bathroom looks fantastic. James and his team have just recently completed renovation work on our new home. The house was extremely dated, so required a new kitchen, new bathroom, as well as a lot of other work (knocking down a wall, moving an existing wall, changing a cupboard to a doorway, new boiler, changing a door to a window, installing French doors, removing a porch, new front door). From start to finish, the installation was seamless and completely stress free. On top of this, the work was completed on time! James organised all of the work to be completed by day, and managed the entire project. James put us in contact with Steve, the kitchen designer who listened to every aspect of our needs, and created a bespoke kitchen. Cannot rate this team highly enough - they are trustworthy, reliable, completes the work to the highest standard, and is constantly on standby to answer any questions. The house was always left clean and tidy. Overall, we are so impressed with the quality of the work, we will undoubtedly be having SPD back to complete further work on the house. Thanks so much!

SDP recently completed our loft conversion, from start to finish they were superb! James and the team were incredibly open minded and friendly, they listened to all of our requirements.
